Built to Last. Inspired to Learn.

I have spent my career studying how ideas become enterprises and how the right strategy can turn ambition into achievement.

Now, I am listening again. This time, to the entrepreneurs shaping today’s world so their stories can guide the next generation of builders.

“To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.”
-Winston Churchill

When working on Preparing and Presenting the Business Plan, I spent months interviewing Chicago based venture capitalists, industrialists and entrepreneurs.

Their insights became the backbone of the book — practical guidance grounded in lived experience and disciplined thinking.

From Raising Capital to Raising Ideas

I've spent over four decades managing investment portfolios, building research teams, and designing strategies for global banks, hedge funds, and family offices.

My work has always been rooted in one constant clarity. Whether in business or writing, I believe good ideas deserve disciplined execution, perseverance and thoughtful feedback cycles.

Hello! I'm Edward Raha

Now, I’m listening to the Entrepreneurs who have built with intention.

I’m on a mission to study entrepreneurship told not through financial statements (that was the realm of the first book), but through personal stories.

I’m speaking with experienced entrepreneurs who’ve built meaningful businesses.   People who’ve taken risks, weathered challenges, and found success on their own terms.

My goal is simple: to hear their stories, to learn from their experiences, uncover what truly drives progress, and share those insights to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs so they can begin their journey of purpose driven building. I am writing a new book to present these stories.

A Scholar’s Curiosity, an Entrepreneur’s Mindset

My approach has always been a blend of curiosity, structure, and disciplined process.

I’ve designed quantitative strategies for institutional investors and developed novel methods to hedge and risk-manage private equity portfolios. I’ve also presented research to the Federal Reserve and state banking regulators, work grounded in careful analysis and practical application.

This project follows the same philosophy: listening carefully, asking better questions, and turning insights into something others can use.

The stories that endure are the ones shaped by persistence. I’m listening  and I’m learning from those who kept going.
